FAQs

Q:What are the power requirements?

The DTS3250/16Tx module requires 28 Vdc @ 9 VA. If an optional
heater is installed, the power consumption may be as high as 70 VA
while the heater is operating.

The DTS3250/32Tx module requires 28 Vdc @ 14 VA. If an optional
heater is installed, ,the power consumption may be as high as 140
VA while the heater is operating.

The DTS3250/64Tx module requires 28 Vdc @ 27 VA. The heater
option is not available for this model.

Q:How do I change the IP address?

The IP Address in a DTS3250 series module may be changed by a
user. The IP address is stored as a variable in the operating
system. This variable can be changed only by using the RS232
connection. A procedure for this may be found in the DTS3250
Manual.

Q:I cannot communicate with the Unit on the Ethernet connection.

Verify that the Ethernet cable is the correct cable for the
connection. A “straight wired” cable must be used if the Host
computer is connected to the DTS module through a hub. For direct
connections from a Host to a DTS module, a “cross wired” cable must
be used.

The Host computer must have an IP address specified to be in the
same class as the DTS module. That is, if the DTS module has an IP
address of 191.30.5.100, the Host computer must have an IP address
of 191.30.x.y.

Q:How do I upgrade the software?

Software upgrades are available from Scanivalve Corp. A detailed
procedure may be found in the DTS3250 Manual, which is also
available for download from this website. For more information on
updating software for these modules, contact Scanivalve Corp,
Product Service Department.

Q:How often should I calibrate the module?

All DTS3250 modules should be re-calibrated at a six month
interval for the best accuracy. Scanivalve Corp provides a utility
program for customers who can perform their own calibrations. This
program is called TempCal and may be downloaded from this website at no
charge.
