Answer
I
cannot connect to the Unit with Ethernet.
Verify that the Ethernet cable is the correct
cable for the connection. A straight wired cable
must be used if the Host computer is connected
to the DSM module through a hub. For direct connections
from a Host to a DSM module, a Across wired@ cable
must be used.
The Host computer must have an IP address specified
to be in the same class as the DSM module. That
is, if the DSM module has an IP address of 191.30.5.100,
the Host computer must have an IP address of 191.30.x.y.
In some instances, the Windows 95 Operating System
has detected a problem and has not completed the
boot sequence. In this case, the DSM should be
shut down. Connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse
to the DSM and reapply power. Correct the problem
shown on the monitor. For assistance, contact
Scanivalve Corp, Product Support Department.

How
do I change the IP address?
The IP Address in a DSM module may be changed
by a user. The IP address is stored in the Windows
Operating System in the module. The IP address
is part of the Network Configuration. This may
be accessed through the Control Panel. When an
IP address is changed, it will not become effective
until the DSM Operating System has been re-started.

I
have corrupted the coefficients for my modules.
What can I do?
The original coefficients for any module calibrated
with a customer DSM are stored in a backup folder
on the DSM hard drive. In addition, the coefficients
are shipped on a floppy disk as a backup. If the
coefficients cannot be found, copies of the last
calibration coefficients may be obtained by contacting
Scanivalve Corp, Product Support Department.
